I do my best thinking in the shower. Don't we all? It's calming, warm, and a place where you can be alone (or not...). While I was debating on whether or not to wash my hair today (I opted to continue sporting my 4-day dirty hair by the way) I was reminiscing about life before baby and how things have changed... Remember your life pre-baby? Remember when you had freedom? Remember when you only had to worry about you, yourself and... you? Life before and after baby are so incredibly different and here's some of the many ways how my life (and probably yours) has changed... Then - showering was a part of your morning routine. Now- When you're trying to remember when you last
Over the weekend, my husband and I decided to introduce solids to our daughter. She's almost 6 months old and has been showing interest in food. Whenever we're enjoying our dinner, she looks up at us and opens her mouth expecting to have taste. It's heart breaking, really. This weening process is obviously one that we've never never experienced as new parents. It's not as simple as just giving your baby mashed up carrots - there's actually a lot more to it than that! This is an entire process that takes time and every family chooses to introduce solids differently. I thought that I could take this as an opportunity to invite you on this journey with us! Surely, we can't be the only
I can hardly believe that my daughter will be 6 months old in two weeks! Time has flown by so quickly and I can't help but think that in another 6 months, I'll have a one year old! These past 6 months have changed my life in the best way I could have ever imagined. It hasn't always been easy but it's definitely been rewarding. So, to celebrate my daughters 6 months of life, I thought it'd be appropriate to reminisce and share how she was brought into this world. I was officially 41 weeks pregnant when I was induced. During my entire pregnancy, I was convinced that A) I was having a boy and B) that my baby would arrive early. Neither of those predictions came to fruition so at last...
While scrolling through my Instagram yesterday, I came across a post from one of my favourite foodie's out there... Laura Vitale. Laura is best known for her delicious recipes that she shares on her Youtube Channel "Laura in the Kitchen" and I've been following her for years. Recently, Laura became a mom and yesterday, she shared a post (see below) that made me pause and think. "We are attached at the hip and it's the best thing in the world. I read something yesterday that totally explained how I've felt throughout these 9 months. From the time I was in my second trimester, I was constantly told of the negative things to come. Example, "oh just you wait until you're 9 months then
Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending the Munchkin Play Date (#munchkinplaydate) event with Munchkin Canada, hosted by the GG Sisters! My daughter and I packed up and drove to Tiny Town in Vaughan where we had the opportunity to test out some amazing Munchkin products all while meeting some other mommy and lifestyle bloggers and their little ones. It was an amazing event in such a fun venue. You guys have to check out Tiny Town - they have created a fun and educational space for your child to play and use their imagination. It's honestly a child's dream play centre!! Munchkin Canada set up a bunch of their products throughout the venue according to there categories. For example,
